Leave angle ranges from semi-prostrate to open to erect. Plants have moderate heading capabilities. Plants measure 17-21 inches tall and 30-46 inches wide. Average eating qualities.

Variety is highly variable. Two plants are darker blue-green in color and have highly dissected/lobed leaves. One significantly different plant is completely prostrate with leaves lying flat on the ground. Another plant has some light purple pigmentation in leaf petioles. Other plants show some variation in leaf blistering. Plants have a moderate heading capability and measure 11-24 inches tall and 22-43 inches wide. Sweet with a hint of bitterness and nice texture.

Old Timey Yellow Cabbage Collard – 64

Variation in variety. Five of 12 plants are dark green with prominent midribs and veins. Two plants have yellow-green leaves. Five plants have green leaves. Six plants have a purple stem and six have light green stems. All leaves are elliptic with a wavy margin and slightly lobed outline. Plants measure 15-22 inches tall and 30-45 inches wide. Non-head forming plants. Average eating qualities.

Hard Headed Cabbage Collard – 65

Variation in population. Three of 11 plants are dark green. The other 8 are yellow-green to light green. One plant has a prostrate growth habit, while others are more open. Leaf blistering is slightly variable from low to moderate. Leaf margin is variable from entire to wavy. Petioles slightly more enlarged on two of the darker green plants. Plants have moderate heading capabilities. Plants measure 16.5-26 inches tall and 28-48 inches wide. Variety has tough and stringy leaves, but is slightly sweet.

Granny Hobbs – 66

Variation in population. Of 10 plants, one plant has much flatter leaves while one plant has a bit of pigmentation on the mid rib/petiole. Other plants have green obovate to orbicular shaped leaves with a wavy margin, moderate bloom, moderate blistering, and light green petioles. Plants have moderate heading capabilities. Plants measure 13-23 inches tall and 25-39 inches wide. Plants were damaged by temperatures reaching 20 F. Slightly bitter, but tender.
