Very uniform variety. Plants have light green stems, and light green to yellow-green leaves. Leaves are elliptic in shape with a wavy margin. Leaves are entire or slightly lobed and are slightly drooping. Plants have a slight heading capability. Plants measure 17-23 inches tall and 32-43 inches wide. Slightly sweet with a buttery like taste.

Yellow Cabbage Collard – 38

Uniform variety. Yellow-green leaves are obovate in outline and have a wavy margin. Leaves have low blistering and a white narrow midvein. Plants have a slight heading capability. Plants measure 13-24 inches tall and 25-38 inches wide. Slight bitter aftertaste or spicy flavor, but otherwise sweet.

Georgia – 53

Population is fairly uniform, but slight variation in leaf margin undulation, leaf blistering, leaf angle and plant compactness. Elliptic leaves are yellow-green with a slightly lobed profile and entire to wavy margin. Leaves have low to moderate blistering and are drooping at the tip. Plants are semi-prostrate to open. Plants have moderate heading capabilities. Plants measure 15-20 inches tall and 26-38 inches wide. Damaged by temperatures around 20 F. Well-liked by Seed Savers staff, and one of the best tasting we grew in 2016. This is sweet and tender and some describe it as nutty and cabbage like.

White Cabbage Collard – 55

Plants have light green petioles and dark green leaves with slight to moderate leaf blistering. Variability seen in degree of leaf bloom, purple pigmentation and leaf texture, glossy to blistered. All leaves are ovate in shape and have a wavy margin and slightly lobed outline. Plants measure 15-20″ tall and 20-38″ in diameter. Plants have above average heading capabilities. Variety is fairly tough and has average eating qualities.

Willis Collard Greens – 2

Large plants, growing up to 3′ across. Leaf color variable from yellow-green to green to blue-green; shape ovate to elliptic; entire margin; broadly rounded apex; semi-prostrate leaf angle. Leaf midribs and veins light green to light purple. Petiole pigmentation ranges from absent to purple. Largest leaves 14.5″ long, 9″ wide. Tough, leathery leaves; slightly bitter; not very sweet.
