Bum Dennis Cabbage Collard – 81

Variation in variety. Of 12 plants four are light green, eight are yellow green. Of the yellow green plants, three have purple pigmentation on the petioles. Leaves are orbicular to spatulate in shape and have a slight lobed to dissected outline and wavy margin. Leaves have low to moderate blistering and a semi-prostrate angle. Slight heading capabilities. Plants measure 14-18 inches tall and 28-45 inches wide. Average taste qualities.

Lyda Gibbs – 79

Fairly uniform variety. Three plants have a bit more pigmentation on the tips of the leaves, but this could be from light frost damage. Light green leaves have a lobed outline and toothed margin with low blistering. Leaf angle is open, but leaves are rather straight. Plants measure 12.5-22.0 inches tall and 25-45 inches wide. Plants have light green petioles, but 5 plants have a little purple coloring on the midvein and petioles. Non-heading variety.

Morris Improved Heading – 87

Uniform with the exception of one plant that has more crinkled leaves and a more dentate margin. It also has some pigmentation on the petioles. Leaves are green with a slightly wavy outline and wavy margin. Leaves also have moderate blistering and curve slightly upward. Plants are semi-prostrate and develop well-formed heads. Plants measure 13.5-18 inches tall and 36-48 inches wide. Average taste qualities.

Yellow Cabbage Collard – 86

Fairly uniform, but slight variation in leaf color with two plants having more yellow-green leaves rather than green. Leaves are elliptic in shape and have a lobed outline and wavy margin. Leaves have low to moderate blistering and an open habit. Plants tend to form slight heads. Plants measure 15-23 inches tall and 25-44 inches wide. Average eating qualities.
