Heodrig variety description

Medium-green leaves with white petioles. Leaf blade is broadly oval in outline with moderately undulating edges. Leaves reach 8-11″ long, 6-7″ wide. Excellent eating qualities. Slightly sweet, subtle flavor, not bitter or tough.

This collard variety was donated to Seed Savers Exchange in the mid 1980s by a now unknown individual from Maltown, Illinois. This variety is reported to originally be from North Carolina.
