Uniform variety. Yellow-green leaves are obovate in outline and have a wavy margin. Leaves have low blistering and a white narrow midvein. Plants have a slight heading capability. Plants measure 13-24 inches tall and 25-38 inches wide. Slight bitter aftertaste or spicy flavor, but otherwise sweet.
History: Acquired by Seed Savers Exchange in 2016 from the USDA collection (G 32750). This variety was collected on behalf of the USDA by Dr. John Morgan (professor of geography at Emory & Henry College) in 2005 from Bud Dew of Tarboro, North Carolina. This variety came to Bud through his father, Tim Dew, who grew and saved seeds of it all his life.
