Very uniform variety. Plants have light green stems, and light green to yellow-green leaves. Leaves are elliptic in shape with a wavy margin. Leaves are entire or slightly lobed and are slightly drooping. Plants have a slight heading capability. Plants measure 17-23 inches tall and 32-43 inches wide. Slightly sweet with a buttery like taste.
History: Acquired by Seed Savers Exchange in 2016 from the USDA collection (G 32748). This variety was collected on behalf of the USDA by Dr. John Morgan (professor of geography at Emory & Henry College) in 2005 from Nancy Jernigan of Snow Hill, North Carolina. Nancy and her late husband James grew this variety all their married life.
