Cabbage Collard 133030

Uniform variety has green elliptic leaves with a wavy to toothed margin and lobed outline. Leaves have moderate blistering. Plants form well-developed heads. Plants measure 15-25 inches tall and 27-45 inches wide. Plants faired well when temperatures reached 20 F. Variety has an underlying spiciness.

History: Acquired by Seed Savers Exchange in 2016 from the USDA collection (PI 662799). This variety was collected on behalf of the USDA by Dr. John Morgan (professor of geography at Emory & Henry College) in 2004 from 94 year old Felton Stroud of Deep Run, North Carolina. Felton Stroud originally received this variety circa 1955 from Allene Stanley, another seed saver.
